The name’s Joe, how ya doin’?
Romano’s Island Wood is run by none other than New York’s finest, Joe Romano.
Joe left the Empire State in the mid-sixties, in search of starting a new career. He later found himself in Oakland, where he began his life as a craftsman, building houses and homesteads for over twenty years in both Lake Tahoe and the Great Bay Area.
Joe landed on San Juan Island in ‘91, and today he’s a well-known artist in the community, for his woodwork, drum skills, and larger than life personality.
